We are looking for a safety-minded Groundsman to join our tree service crew. The Groundsman plays a key role in keeping the job site efficient, with primary responsibility for operating the chipper and handling brush and debris. This is an entry-level position with opportunities to grow in the tree care industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the wood chipper and feed brush/branches according to training and company safety standards.

• Assist with job site setup, including cones, signs, and traffic control.

• Drag and stage brush, logs, and debris for chipping.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work zone at all times.

• Communicate with crew members to ensure safe equipment use and workflow.

• Perform daily inspections of tools and equipment used on the ground.

• Participate in safety meetings and follow all OSHA/ANSI safety requirements.

• Support the climbers and equipment operators from the ground as needed.

  Qualifications

  • No tree care experience required for this entry level position; training provided.

  • Must be a trustworthy, team player with strong communication skills.

  • Strong focus on safety and ability to follow detailed instructions.

  • Physically able to lift 80+ lbs. and work outdoors in all weather conditions.

  • Comfortable working around heavy equipment.

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required (CDL a plus).

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

  • Demonstrated ability to report for work regularly and punctually

  • Must be 18+ years old
